This morning the clocks went back, and Ibiza gained an extra hour.
It suits the island at this time of year. The light is softer, the sea is still warm enough for a swim, and the harbour in Ibiza Town is quiet enough to hear the boats again.
It is also the season when people who know the island start looking seriously. Viewings are unhurried, owners have time to talk, and you see a house as it really is, not as it looks in August.
